Monitor DTC Status
- Ignition ON & Vehicle "STOP".
- Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
- Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
- Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
- Read the "DTC Status" parameter.
- Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?
YES
- Check belt condition, Installation condition, contamination by water or foreign materials etc., belt tension condition and etc. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure. (Be careful especially when you check belt. Because the Generator (HSG) belt can be operated when mode is changed from EV Mode to HEV mode.)
- Check engine first if there is any DTC on the engine side and confirm that it is erasable. And erase the DTC P0A0F and check that MIL is ON again.
- Check MCU first if there is any DTC on the MCU side and confirm that it is erasable. And erase the DTC P0A0F and check that MIL is ON again.
- Check the Engine Ignition, Fuel, Mechanical, Etc. System and repair or replace as necessary. And erase the DTC P0A0F and check that MIL is ON again.
NO
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or Control module's connector or was repaired and Control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
CAUTION:
Perform following items when HPCU is replaced or reassembled.
Carry out "HCU/LDC" system → "Optional function" → "Engine clutch/motor resolver learning".
Refill the coolant and circulate the coolant by carrying out "Actuation" → "Electronic Water Pump (EWP)".
Non-compliance with the following instructions can induce death or injury caused by electric shock.
Carefully read and follow service information instructions.
Wear insulated gloves, safety glasses and use insulated tools for your safety.
Turn the ignition switch off and Disconnect ground cable of auxiliary battery and Remove the safety plug.
Wait for more than 5 minutes so that the inverter capacitor can be naturally discharged.
Check high voltage terminal on Power Relay Assembly is lower than 30V.
Perform Resolver adaptation after the HPCU or the Driver Motor or the Generator (HSG) is replaced or reinstalled.
When replaced HPCU, Perform air bleeding for HPCU with GDS.
Carry out "HCU/LDC" system → "Optional function" → "Engine clutch/motor resolver learning".
