Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS to the self-diagnostic connector.
  2. Turn the engine on.
  3. Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature.
  4. Check if a failure item is displayed on the GDS.

Erase the DTC using the GDS and check if it occurs again.

  5. Are any DTCs present?

    YES

    • Carry out the unit inspection process.

    NO

    • A failure has occurred due to a temporary poor connection of the connector or wire, or it has been repaired, but the DTC has been stored in the Active Air Flap Actuator memory. Therefore, check generally for sagging, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, and damage between the connectors and/or wires.
    • Replace or repair as necessary and carry out the "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
