Component Inspection
- Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode.
- IG "ON".
- Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
- IG "OFF".
- Disconnect ECU's connector connected to CAN bus.
- IG "ON".
- Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode.
- Are any DTCs present?
YES
- Go to step 1 of the component inspection and disconnect another ECU's connector connected to CAN bus in step 5.
- Repeat above step until test completed on all ECU in CAN bus.
- If DTC is present after above test, Substitute with a known-good SRSCM and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
* In a case of replacing the SRSCM, follow the replacement procedure of the DTC B1620 (Internal fault-Replace SRSCM) of the SRSCM and then perform "longitudinal G sensor Calibration" in "Vehicle S/W Management" menu of the GDS. (DBC/HAC only, refer to C1285 )
NO
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in IMU (SRSCM) harness or faulty IMU (SRSCM). Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure
