Component Inspection

  1. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  4. IG "OFF".
  5. Disconnect ECU's connector connected to CAN bus.
  6. IG "ON".
  7. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  8. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Go to step  1 of the component inspection and disconnect another ECU's connector connected to CAN bus in step 5.
    • Repeat above step until test completed on all ECU in CAN bus.
    • If DTC is present after above test, substitute with a known-good PCM (TCM) and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace PCM (TCM) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
