Monitor DTC Status

  1. Vehicle parked and Ignition switch 'ON'.
  2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
  3. Click "DTC Status" on the "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" menu bar to see "DTC Information".
  4. If DTC Status is "Present" fault, then go to the next procedure, and if it is "History" fault, then clear DTC and check the same DTC reoccurs.

  5. Is parameter displayed "Present" fault?

    YES 

    • If there is any DTC besides C241601, firstly check the DTC and repair parts, and then confirm the recurrence of C241601.
    • DTC may occur when battery performance is abnormal so that battery performance needs to be checked with Battery Tester. And DTC may occurs when EPB Motor is severely operated under engine running 'OFF' and ignition switch 'ON' condition.
    • Go to next procedure.

    NO 

    • If DTC is 'History', perform EPB Apply/Release several times to check same problem happens.
    • Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and Control Module memory is not cleared yet or battery performance status. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
