Check Open in CAN Communication Line

  1. Ignition switch 'OFF'.
  2. Connect all related module connectors.
  3. Ignition switch 'ON'.
  4. Measure voltage between C-CAN High terminal of EPB Module harness connector and chassis ground.
  5. Measure voltage between C-CAN Low terminal of EPB Module harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification  : Below 5V



  1. Ignition switch 'OFF'.
  2. Disconnect EPB Module connector and IGPM (Integrated Gateway & Power control Module: Smart Junction Box (SJB) and Central Gate Way (CGW)) connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between C-CAN High terminal of EPB Module harness connector and C-CAN High terminal of IGPM (CGW) harness connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between C-CAN Low terminal of EPB Module harness connector and C-CAN Low terminal of IGPM (CGW) harness connector.

    Specification  : Below 1Ω

  5. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Check BCM, EPB Module connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
