Check for Open and Short in CAN Communication Line
- Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
- Measure the resistance between C-CAN High/Low terminal of IGPM harness connector and chassis ground. (M1)
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Measure the voltage between C-CAN High/Low terminal of IGPM harness connector and chassis ground. (M2)
- Disconnect the EPB Control Module and IGPM (Gateway) connectors.
- Measure the resistance between C-CAN High terminal of EPB Module harness connector and C-CAN High terminal of IGPM. (M3)
- Measure the resistance between C-CAN Low terminal of EPB Module harness connector and C-CAN Low terminal of IGPM. (M4)
Specification : (M1): Infinity Ω, (M2): Below 2.5V, (M3, M4): Below 1Ω
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or Control module's connector or was repaired and Control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Perform actuation by GDS and check whether it is operating correctly.
NO
- Check for short circuit in harness or blown fuse.
- Repair as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
