Monitor GDS Data
- Ignition switch 'ON' and Vehicle driving 'STOP' condition.
- Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
- Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Brake Switch" parameter.
- Push Brake switch once, and then let it be in neutral position and check Brake switch status from sensor output. (shown in illustration)
Specification : When the switch is activated, the data changes to 'ON', 'OFF'.
- Is parameter within specifications?
YES
- Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and Control Module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to next procedure.
