Monitor GDS Data
- Ignition switch 'ON' and Vehicle driving 'STOP' condition.
- Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
- Start engine and turn the headlight and the heat wire (defogger system) 'ON'.
- Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Battery Voltage" parameter.
- Maintaining engine speed at 2, 500 RPM for over 2 minutes.
Specification : Approximately 13~15V
- Is the battery voltage normal?
YES
- DTC "Ignition Switch-Signal Error" may occur when battery performance is abnormal so that battery performance needs to be checked with Battery Tester. And also, DTC may occurs when EPB motor is severely operated under engine running 'OFF' and ignition switch 'ON' condition.
- Go to next procedure.
NO
- Check Charging System related item. and then, repair or replace as necessary. Finally, check that is possible to clear this DTC.
- If the Charging System is normal, go to next procedure.
