DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
Case1 DTC Strategy
  • Valve circuit monitoring (Open)
  1. Open or short in power supply circuit (IGN+)
  2. Defected IBAU
Enable Conditions
  • A Fault is detected if valve relay voltage is less than 6V for more than 0.2 sec. while the valve relay is on.
MIL
  • The EBD/RBS/ABS/ESP (ESC)/DBC warning lamp is activated.
  • The AVH warning lamp is activated in case of the vehicle equipped with AVH.
Remarks
  • When AHB valve relay is open, the buzzer is activated but EBD is activated.
Case2 DTC Strategy
  • Valve circuit monitoring (Short)
Enable Conditions
  • A Fault is detected if Valve relay voltage is more than 5V for 0.2 sec. while the valve relay is "OFF".
  • A failure is detected if the voltage difference between power side and load side of valve relay is greater than 1±0.15V longer than 0.2sec.
MIL
  • The EBD/RBS/ABS/ESP (ESC)/DBC warning lamp is activated.
  • The AVH warning lamp is activated in case of the vehicle equipped with AVH.
Remarks
  • When ESP (ESC) valve relay is short, the EBD is not activated.
Reset condition
  • Turn ignition switch off and on.
