DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
Case1 DTC Strategy
  • CAN message (Yaw rate sensor/Lateral G sensor) monitoring
  1. Poor connection
  2. Faulty IMU
  3. Open or short in CAN lines
Enable Conditions
  • In case that sensor message was not received for more than 500ms within normal voltage condition.
  • The monitoring starts 1.5sec after power up.
MIL
  • The ESP (ESC)/DBC warning lamp is activated. The AVH warning lamp is activated in case of the vehicle equipped with AVH.
Case2 DTC Strategy
  • CAN message (Longitudinal G sensor) monitoring
Enable Conditions
  • A failure is detected In case that sensor message was not received for more than 0.5sec under normal voltage condition.
MIL
  • The ESP (ESC)/DBC warning lamp is activated. The AVH warning lamp is activated in case of the vehicle equipped with AVH.
Reset condition
  • Turn ignition switch off and on.
