GDS Data Analysis

  1. IG "ON".
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Turn the steering wheel to the left and right.
  4. Monitor the "Steering Angle Sensor (CAN) (ESP Only)" parameter on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS.

  5. When steering wheel is turned, is the parameter changed?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in brake light switch line and/or IBAU's connector. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
