Component Inspection
- Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode.
- IG "ON".
- Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
- IG "OFF".
- Disconnect ECU's connector connected to CAN bus.
- IG "ON".
- Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
- Are any DTCs present?
YES
- Go to step 1 of the component inspection and disconnect another ECU's connector connected to CAN bus in step 5.
- Repeat above step until test completed on all ECU in CAN bus.
- If DTC is present after above test, substitute with a known-good MDPS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace MDPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
* In a case of replacing the MDPS, perform "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" in "Vehicle S/W Management" menu of the GDS.
NO
- Fault is intermittent caused by faulty IBAU, faulty Steering Angle Sensor. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
