Component Inspection

Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
Clear the DTC using GDS.
Step on and off the brake pedal several times.
Check the DTC. Did the DTC return?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in power harness (IGN+) and/or IBAU's connector or was repaired and IBAU memory was not cleared. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
NOTE:
* In a case of replacing IBAU, perform following functions
1. "Brake Pedal Travel Sensor Calibration" for brake pedal sensor offset correction (refer to C138004 )
2. "Pressure Sensor Calibration" for pressure sensor offset correction (refer to C138404 )
3. "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C126104 ) -ESP (ESC) only
4. "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C128504 ) - ESP (ESC) only
5. "Variant Coding" for option coding (refer to C170204 )

- This failure can be a intermittent failure of the sensor. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
