Steering Angle Sensor Calibration

  1. Line up wheels like Fig.1)
    1. Perform the wheel alignment.
    2. Set the steering wheel so that the wheels point straight ahead.
    3. Go ahead and Go back the vehicle 2~3 times without holding steering wheel.
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Perform steering angle sensor calibration in "Vehicle S/W Management" menu on GDS again. (Fig.2)
  4. Disconnect GDS.
  5. Check the condition of SAS zero point adjustment by driving the vehicle to right-turn and left-turn at least one time.

  6. Is "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" completed normally?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Calibration can be interrupted by related DTC occurred. If DTC presents, erase DTC and then perform "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" again.
    • Substitute with a known-good Steering Angle Sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace Steering Angle Sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

      * In a case of replacing the Steering Angle Sensor, perform "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" in "Vehicle S/W Management" menu of the GDS.
