Check short to ground in LIN communication circuit

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect AFLS ECU connector and headlamp (LH and RH) connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between (AFLS ECU or headlamp) connector LIN communication terminal of wiring side and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Infinity Ω

  4. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known - good headlamp assembly and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace headlamp assembly and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Check for short to ground between AFLS ECU LIN communication circuit and headlamp (LH and RH) LIN communication circuit.
    • Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
