CAN communication circuit inspection (BSD ECU(RH) ↔ BSD ECU(LH))

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect BSD ECU(RH) connector and BSD ECU(LH) connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between terminal of BSD ECU(RH) harness connector and terminal of BSD ECU(LH) harness connector.

    Specification:  Below 1Ω

  4. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Check BSD ECU (RH <-> LH) connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Check for open/short in harness.
    • Substitute with a known-good BSD ECU LH or RH and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace BSD ECU LH or RH and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
