Monitor DTC Status
- Vehicle parked & Ignition switch 'ON'.
- Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
- Click "DTC Status" on the "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" menu bar to see DTC's information.
- Confirm that "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in the freeze frame data or enable conditions.
- Read "DTC Status" parameter.
- Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?
YES
- Select ESP(ESC/IBAU) system and check DTCs related with AEB(SCC) system or CAN Timeout. If DTC is exist, repair as necessary, and then confirm clear.
- Recheck SCC(AEB) system, If C163381 is still active DTC, go to next procedure.
Check AEB(SCC) Module
- Substitute with a known-good AEB(SCC) Module and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace AEB(SCC) Module.
- After replacing with a known-good AEB(SCC) Module, perform the "Variant Coding" at the "Vehicle S/W Management" mode by using GDS.
NO
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or control module's connector or was repaired and control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
