- Poor contact in power supply circuit
- Defected ESP (ESC) fuse
- Defected ESP (ESC)
- Excessive parking brake shoe gap
- Faulty Battery
- Blown fuse

| Threshold value |
Case 1 (Motor relay open/motor short to GND) |
- A failure is detected when pump motor supply voltage is monitored and if the condition that is judged as open circuit is maintained for more than 500 milliseconds
- Motor supply voltage is less than 80% of system voltage
--> fault suspect, increase 60% counter
- Motor supply voltage is less than 50% of system voltage
--> increase 100% of counter, save fault |
| Case 2 (Motor open, motor short to BATT) |
- Pump motor voltage is less than 3.0±0.5V for 160 milliseconds immediately after motor on
- Pump motor voltage is less than (V IGN - 4.0) V for 500 milliseconds while motor on
|
| Case 3 (Motor hardware malfunction) |
- When motor voltage is over than 3.0 ± 0.5V for 2.5 seconds during pump motor is OFF status
|
| Case 4 (Motor stall) |
- If the motor voltage is not reach more than 3.0 ± 0.5V within 40 milliseconds immediately after the change of the pump motor drive condition from On to Off, the active test is performed up to 3 times. If the voltage is not satisfied after the 3 times active testing, a failure is detected

Case 1 |
- Turn ignition switch OFF and back ON
|
| Case 2, 3, 4 |
- After Ignition "ON" and minimum vehicle speed over 30 km/h (19 MPH)
