Trouble shooting Condition Possible cause
Main action
  • Monitor the CAN message
  1. Faulty PCM/TCM
  2. Defective wire
  3. Short circuit between CAN bus lines
  4. Damaged or poor connector connection
Threshold value
  • A failure is detected when invalid TCM message (Gear selection) is received for more than specified time

* specific time: 500 milliseconds (In-control) 1500 milliseconds (non-control)
MIL
  • AVH/EPB warning lamp is activated
Reset condition
  • When the normal state is confirmed after ignition switch turned OFF and back ON
