Main action
  • Monitoring the motor rotation time and operating current
  1. Damaged or poor connector connection
  2. Excessive parking brake shoe gap
  3. Over wear of parking brake shoes pads
  4. Rear Brake Pad Overheating
  5. Vehicle overweight
  6. Excessive slope of road surface (over 30%)
  7. Faulty actuator/wheel sensor
Threshold value
  • When the EPB is engaged condition, if the wheel speed/wheel pulse occurs more than a certain time and the re-clamp operates more than 3 times.
Diagnosis time
  • 3 times
MIL
  • EPB warning lamp is activated
Reset condition
  • Turn ignition switch OFF and ON
