DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble Shooting Condition Possible cause
Main action
  • Monitor the valve relay voltage
  1. Open or short in power supply circuit (IGN+)
  2. Defected ESP (ESC)
  3. Blown fuse
  4. Faulty Battery
Threshold value Case 1
  • A Fault is detected if valve relay voltage does not go up to 80% of supply voltage within 80 milliseconds after valve relay 'ON'
  • If the valve relay drive element detects the following fault after the valve relay is "ON"
  • Voltage difference between Drain and Source of valve relay FET is greater than (1.0±0.4) V
  • When leakage current of 3.0 ± 1 mA is detected at the initial operation of valve relay
Case 2
  • A Fault is detected when valve relay voltage does not drop below 80% of the supply voltage within 80 milliseconds after valve relay 'ON' to 'OFF'
  • Fault detection time: Once during initialization after ignition switch "ON"
  • ABS/ESC warning lamp on when detecting the above fault
Case 3
  • A Fault is detected when valve relay voltage is lower than 7V±0.5 for more than 500 milliseconds after valve relay 'ON'
  • Voltage difference between Drain and Source of valve relay (FET) is greater than (1.0±0.4) V for 500 milliseconds
