Main action
  • Monitor the CAN message
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open in CAN communication line
  3. Other ECUs incorrectly occupy the CAN bus
  4. Faulty SAS
Threshold value
  • When ESP (ESC) fails to receive messages from a steering angle sensor for more than 500 milliseconds during vehicle stop or 100 milliseconds during vehicle driving or controlling.
Diagnosis time
  • While driving or controlling: 100 milliseconds,
  • While vehicle stop: 500 milliseconds
MIL
  • ESP (ESC) warning lamp is activated
Reset condition
  • When the normal state is confirmed after ignition switch turned OFF and back ON.
