DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble shooting Condition Possible cause
Main action
  • Monitor the CAN circuit
  1. Short circuit between CAN bus lines.
  2. Short to ground or other voltage in CAN bus line.
  3. Faulty CAN circuit
  4. Poor connector connection
Threshold value
  • A failure is detected when ESP (ESC) detects that the C-CAN bus "OFF" has occurred for more than 140 milliseconds during control or for more than 700 milliseconds during non-control.
    1. Vehicle speed is less than 6 km/h (3.72 MPH), and not controlled: Warning lamp is on. DTC is not recorded.
    2. Vehicle speed is greater than 6 km/h or controlling: Warning lamp is on. DTC is recorded.
Diagnosis time
  • While controlling: 140 milliseconds
  • While not controlling: 700 milliseconds
MIL
  • ESP (ESC) warning lamps are activated
Reset condition
  • When the normal state is confirmed after ignition switch turned OFF and back ON.
