Main action
  • Monitor the CAN message
  1. Faulty EMS
  2. Open in CAN communication line
Threshold value
  • In case that the signal from EMS is invalid for more than specific time.

    * specific time: 500 milliseconds (while controlling)

    1500 milliseconds (while not controlling).

    1. While vehicle stops: Only the warning lamp is on.
    2. Vehicle speed is more than 6 km/h (3.72 MPH): DTC is recorded.

* EMS invalid message: Engine signal fault, MAF signal fault, Acceleration Pedal fault, TPS fault
Diagnosis time
  • While controlling: 500 milliseconds,
  • While not controlling: 1500 milliseconds
MIL
  • ESP (ESC) warning lamp is activated
Reset condition
  • When the normal state is confirmed after ignition switch turned OFF and back ON.
