DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble shooting Condition Possible cause
Main action
  • Monitor CAN message
  1. Open or Short circuit in CAN line
  2. Faulty ESP (ESC)
  3. Poor connector connection
Threshold value
  • When P-CAN Bus OFF occurs and it is keep for more than 140 milliseconds during control or 700 milliseconds during non-control, a fault is detected.
    1. Vehicle speed is less than 6 km/h (3.72 MPH), and not controlled: Warning lamp is on. DTC is not recorded.
    2. Vehicle speed is greater than 6 km/h or controlling: Warning lamp is on. DTC is recorded.
Diagnosis time
  • While controlling: 140 milliseconds,
  • While not controlling: 700 milliseconds
MIL
  • ESP (ESC)/EPB/DBC/AVH warning lamps are activated
Reset condition
  • Warning lamp ON without DTC: When the normal operation of CAN is monitored for 100 milliseconds in the same ignition cycle
  • Warning lamp ON with DTC: Turn ignition switch OFF and ON
