DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble shooting Condition Possible cause
Main action
  • Monitor wheel speed sensor signal
  1. Open or short circuit of wire harness
  2. Poor connector connection between wheel speed sensor and wire harness
  3. Moisture enters the connector of the wheel speed sensor and the wire harness
  4. Open or short circuit of Wheel speed sensor circuit
  5. Faulty Wheel speed sensor
  6. Faulty ESP (ESC)
Threshold value
  • A failure is detected when the current of wheel speed sensor is out of 7 mA ~ 14 mA.
MIL
  • Only one wheel failure

    : ABS/ESP (ESC) warning lamps are activated

  • Two or more wheels failure

    : ABS/EBD/ESP (ESC) warning lamps are activated
Reset condition
  • Turn ignition switch OFF and back ON.
