DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Detects failures of communication between the PCM and other modules which are on the CAN serial bus
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Faulty P-CAN communication circuit
  3. Faulty CAN communication module component
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage is between 10 and 16V
  • Delay time after ignition switch on is more than 0.5 seconds
Threshold Value
  • 20 wrong messages received by PCM/ECM
Diagnostic Time
  • 1 second
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
