DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Compliance monitoring (barometric pressure sensor and intake manifold pressure sensor)
  1. Poor connection
  2. Clogged air cleaner
  3. Faulty barometric pressure sensor (PCM)
Enable Condition Case 1
  • Engine RPM is lower than 32 RPM (engine stopped)
  • Barometric pressure is between 400 hPa and 1150 hPa
  • MAP sensor voltage is between 0.2V and 4.8V
Case 2
  • Engine RPM is higher than 32 RPM (engine running)
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Deviation between barometric pressure and intake air pressure is higher than 10 kPa
Case 2
  • Deviation between actual intake air pressure and model intake air pressure is higher than 20 kPa and lower than -20 kPa
Diagnostic Time
  • 3 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
