DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Air/Fuel ratio cylinder imbalance monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Air leak on Cylinder #3
  3. Faulty injector
Enable Condition
  • Engine coolant temperature is higher than 68°C (154.4°F)
  • Modeled catalyst temperature is lower than 900°C (1652°F)
  • Engine speed at between 992 RPM and 2800 RPM
  • Fuel mass set-point at between 11 mg/stroke and 27 mg/stroke
  • Vehicle speed is higher than 25 km/h (15.6 mph)
  • Fuel trim active
    • No relevant failure (Upstream O2 sensor, Injector valve, ETC in limp home state)
    • Measured Tip temperature is higher than 680°C (1256°F)
    • Engine coolant temperature is higher than 0°C (32°F)
  • Lambda set-point at between 0.97 and 1.03
  • Stable driving condition
    • Difference between the engine speed and the filtered engine speed is lower than 60 RPM
    • Difference between the mass air and the filtered mass air is lower than 80 mg/stroke
    • Difference between the lambda and the filtered lambda is lower than 5%
  • Fuel cut-off not active
  • Catalyst purge after fuel cut off not active
  • No misfire detected
  • Catalyst diagnosis finished
  • Barometric pressure (BARO) is higher than 75 kPa
  • Full load not active
  • Crankshaft segment adaptation finished
  • No gear transition
Threshold Value
  • Calculated fuel trim (Prevolutionious long term fuel trim + current short term fuel trim) is higher than 17% or lower than -19%
  • Long term fuel trim is higher than 14% or lower than -16%
Diagnostic Time
  • Within 2 A/F adaptation cycles
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
