Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check for brake signal
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open or short in stop lamp switch
  3. Faulty stop lamp switch
Enable Condition
  • Engine running
Threshold Value
  • When the brake warning lamp and check switch signal do not match for 10 seconds
Diagnostic Time
  • Brake pedal operates 12 times
MIL ON Condition
  • No MIL On (DTC only)
