Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Monitoring Signal Stuck In Range
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Faulty FTPS
  3. Faulty CCV
  4. Faulty PCSV
  5. Missing or damaged fuel cap
Case 2
  • Signal High with Active Canister Purge Monitoring
Case 3
  • Signal High with No Active Canister Purge Monitoring
Case 4
  • Signal Low with Active Canister Purge Monitoring
Enable Condition Case 1
  • Ambient Air Temp model higher than -8°C (17.6°F)
  • Battery voltage higher than 10V and lower than 16V
  • Fuel Level below 85%
  • Vehicle Speed higher than 50 km/h (31 mph)
  • Canister Purge Flow more than 0.4g/s during uninterrupted 30s
  • Canister load less than 0.5
Case 2
  • Ambient Air Temp model higher than -8°C (17.6°F)
  • Engine Coolant temperature higher than 45°C (113°F)
  • Battery voltage higher than 10V and lower than 16V
  • Fuel Level below 85%
  • 200s since refueling
  • Canister Purge Flow more than 0.4g/s during uninterrupted 30s
  • Canister load less than 0.5
Case 3
  • Ambient Air Temp model higher than -8°C (17.6°F)

  • Canister Purge Valve Closed
  • 200s since refueling
Case 4

  • BARO decrease less than 2.5 kPa within 300s
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Fuel tank pressure variation less than 20 mV (67 Pa)
Case 2
  • Fuel tank pressure higher than 418.6 Pa
Case 3
  • Fuel tank pressure higher than 1500 Pa
Case 4
  • Fuel Tank Pressure lower than -1100 Pa or higher than -3500 Pa
