Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • EGR flow check
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. EGR cooler restricted
  3. EGR pipe restricted/leaking
  4. EGR circulation path clogging and leakage
  5. Intake manifold
  6. Exhaust manifold
Enable Condition Case 1
  • Activated EGR valve control
  • Engine running more than 20s
Case 2
  • ECTS is more than 55°C (131°F)
  • AATS is more than 9.8°C (49.64°F)
  • Battery voltage is more than 5V
Threshold Value Case 1
  • PWA value for valve control is more than 99%
Case 2
  • PWA value for valve control is less than -99%
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.5 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
