Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Missing signal
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open or short in intake camshaft sensor circuit
  3. Misadjusted crankshaft and camshaft pulley position
  4. Faulty exhaust CMPS
Enable Condition
  • Engine synchronized
Threshold Value Case 1
  • No camshaft edge detected within one revolution
Case 2
  • Number of revolution with Camshaft edge out of designed reference position window
Diagnostic Time Case 1
  • 8 revolution
Case 2
  • 5 revolution
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
