Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal Plausibility Monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open or short in CKPS circuit
  3. Damaged to the connecting flange or flywheel
  4. Misadjusted crankshaft and camshaft pulley position
  5. Faulty CKPS
Enable Condition
  • Camshaft signal valid
Threshold Value
  • No crankshaft teeth detected after 3 camshaft edge transitions.
Diagnostic Time
  • 3 revolution
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
