DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal plausibility monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open or short in harness
  3. Faulty knock sensor
Enable Condition
  • Knock detection function active
  • Engine speed is more than 2700 RPM
  • MAFS signal is more than 0.5g/revolution (250 mg/tdc)
  • No relevant failure
Threshold Value
  • Difference between the processed knock sensor signal and its mean does not exceed a threshold (0.05V) & the integral of the processed knock sensor signal does not reach the threshold (3V) for cylinders 2 and 3
  • Knock sensor processed signal out of range between 0.1 and 4.5 volts
Diagnostic Time
  • 50 revolution
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
