Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Sensor signal abnormal low check (low temperature fixation)
  1. Poor connecting condition
  2. Faulty OTS
Case 2
  • Sensor signal abnormal high check (high temperature fixation)
Case 3
  • Abnormal signal check
Enable Condition Case 1
  • If there are no related errors
  • Modeled oil temperature is higher than 70°C (158°F)
Case 2
  • If there are no related errors
  • Modeled oil temperature is higher than 70°C (158°F)
Case 3
  • Battery voltage is between 10 and 16V
  • More than 8 hours after engine start stop
  • Cooling water temperature drop below 1.4°C (34.52°F)
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Actual measured engine oil temperature is lower than 20°C (68°F)
Case 2
  • Actual measured engine oil temperature is higher than 100°C (212°F)
Case 3
  • Deviation between the engine oil temperature and other temperatures is higher than 25°C (77°F), and the deviation between the coolant temperature and the intake temperature is lower than 25°C (77°F)
