DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Sensor signal fluctuation time monitoring (Rich to Lean)
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Downstream oxygen sensor contamination
  3. Faulty HO2S
Enable Condition
  • Downstream HO2S element resistance is less than 1kΩ
  • Downstream HO2S heater max heating
  • Downstream HO2S normal heating duration for more than 117.6s
  • Downstream HO2S internal resistance is less than 3kΩ
  • Catalyst temperature model is more than 487°C (908.6° F)
  • MAFS between 10 and 50 kg/h
  • Integrated HO2S load not in rich to lean
  • Downstream HO2S signal is more than 0.6V at initial fuel cut-off entry
  • Battery voltage between 10 and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Signal gradient from 0.6 to 0.3V at initial fuel cut off entry - out of range (signal gradient average is less than 1500 mV/s)
Diagnostic Time
  • 3 valid fuel cut-off (once per driving cycle)
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
