DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Reverse oxygen sensor reverse time detection when fuel cut is executed
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Leak in intake or exhaust system
  3. Faulty fuel system
  4. Front and rear HO2S connections reversed
  5. HO2S contamination
Enable Condition
  • ECTS is more than 73°C (163°F)
  • Downstream O2 sensor readiness detected
  • Downstream O2 sensor pre-heating phase finished
  • Catalyst temperature model is more than 400°C (752°F)
  • Downstream O2 sensor signal is more than 0.6V at entry into fuel cut-off
  • No relevant failure
  • Battery voltage between 10 and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Average ratio between measured and maximum allowed rich to lean switching time entering fuel cut-off is higher than 1
Diagnostic Time
  • 4 valid fuel cut-off phases.
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
