DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical check
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Related fuse blown or missing
  3. Heater control circuit open or short
  4. Power supply circuit open or short
  5. Faulty HO2S (B1/S1)
Enable Condition
  • Upstream O2 sensor heater duty is more than 1.56%
  • Sensor operative readiness (tip temperature is more than 640°C (1, 184°F) or 18s heating time after dew-point detection)
Threshold Value
  • Upstream O2 sensor tip temperature is lower than 660°C (1220°F) or higher than 900°C (1652°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
