Trouble shooting Prerequisite condition Possible Cause

  • Monitor the CAN communication
  1. Poor contact of connector
  2. Faulty P-CAN communication circuit
  3. Faulty PCM
Prerequisite condition
  • Turn ignition switch "ON"/Battery voltage: 9V or more/16V or less
  • PCM/TCM "ON" after 0.5 sec
Threshold Value
  • CAN time-out is detected
Detecting Time
  • 0.2 sec
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
Fail safe
  • Mechanical Limp Home (Gear fixed into fifth, do not change it manually)
