Trouble shooting Prerequisite condition Possible Cause
Main action
  • Monitor the signal
  1. Faulty torque converter clutch Hydraulic system
  2. Faulty torque converter clutch solenoid valve
  3. Faulty valve body
Prerequisite condition
  • Battery voltage: 10V or more
  • Engine RPM: 350 or more
  • Shift lever switch: "D" or "Sports" (Forward gear)
  • No CAN error
  • Engine torque: 10% or more
  • Output shaft speed sensor RPM: 0 or more
  • Damper clutch solenoid valve: 100%
Threshold Value
  • Torque converter slip remains above 100 RPM
Detecting Time
  • 5 sec
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
Fail safe
  • Damper clutch "OFF" (Duty 0%)
