Trouble shooting Prerequisite condition Possible Cause
Main action
  • Monitor the output voltage
  1. Poor contact of connector
  2. Short to ground in oil temperature: sensor circuit
  3. Faulty oil temperature: sensor
  4. Faulty PCM
Prerequisite condition
  • Battery voltage is higher than 10V
  • Engine speed higher than 350 RPM
Threshold Value
  • Oil temperature is higher than 180°C (356°F)
Detecting Time
  • 5 sec
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
