Water Pump Housing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Drain the engine coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  3. Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to the Intake And Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Remove the drive belt.

    (Refer to Timing System - "DRIVE BELT ")

  5. Remove the water pump pulley (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  6. Remove the intake manifold.

    (Refer to Intake And Exhaust System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")

  7. Disconnect the heater pipe hose (A).

  8. Remove the water inlet fitting pipe and housing (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Always use new water inlet fitting O-ring (A).

  9. Install the order parts in the reverse order of removal.
  10. Fill the radiator with coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

    NOTE:
    • When changing the coolant and draining air, be sure to follow the filling instructions of the Integrated Thermal Management Module (ITM).
  11. Start engine and check for leaks.
