Removal and Installation: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal from the battery.
  2. Remove the engine cover.

    (Refer to the Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE COVER ")

  3. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to the Intake And Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to the Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  5. Drain engine coolant by loosening the drain plug.

    (Refer to the Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  6. Disconnect the radiator upper hose (A).

  7. Disconnect the ITM connector (A).

  8. Disconnect the engine oil cooler hose (A).

  9. Disconnect the heater hose (A).

  10. Remove the ITM (A).

  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Always use the new ITM rubber gasket.
  12. Fill the radiator with coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

    NOTE:
    • When changing the coolant and draining air, be sure to follow the filling instructions of the Integrated Thermal Management Module (ITM).
  13. Start engine and check for leaks.
