Component Inspection

  1. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode.
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Using a GDS, and clear the DTC.
  4. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
  5. Disconnect SAS connector.
  6. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  7. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode again.
  8. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Go to step 1 of the component inspection and disconnect another ECU's connector connected to CAN bus.
    • Repeat above step until test completed on all ECU in CAN bus.
    • Replace it with a new SAS and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, place the new SAS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • If the problem is exist, replace ESP (ESC) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by faulty ESP (ESC). Or, ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after repair. go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    NOTE: * In a case of replacing ESP (ESC), perform following functions
    1. "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C126104 ) -ESP (ESC) only
    2. "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C128504 ) - ESP (ESC) only
    3. "Variant Coding" for option coding (refer to C170204 )
