Open or Short Check

  1. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  2. Measure voltage between brake light switch signal 'A' terminal of the ESP (ESC) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Brake light switch 'A': 0 V

  3. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in brake light switch harness and/or ESP (ESC)'s connector. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO
