Component Inspection

  1. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • This DTC is mainly attributed to improper CAN signal from MDPS system.
    • Check DTCs in MDPS system. If there is a code in MDPS system, repair it based on DTC diagnostic guidelines.

    NO 

    • Fault can be intermittent caused by poor connection in CAN signal harness and/or ESP (ESC)'s connector. go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
