Open or Short Check

Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
Disconnect MDPS connector.
Measure resistance between ground terminal of the MDPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
Is the result within specifications?
YES
- Go to "CAN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair short or open in ground circuit between the MDPS harness connector and chassis ground and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR "
