DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble shooting Condition Possible cause
Main action
  • Monitor CAN message from MDPS
  1. Faulty MDPS (VSM)
  2. Faulty ESP (ESC)
  3. Poor contact of connectors
  4. CAN line occupied by other ECUs
Threshold value
  • When a VSM control message did not received for more than specific time.
  1. any control activated: 500 msec
  2. all control inactivated: 1500 msec
MIL
  • No MIL
Reset condition
  • Turn ignition switch off and back on.
